Just returned, completely jet lagged, from a successful and inspirational trip to San Francisco and Hawaii with my friend and colleague, the fabulous Sarah Brummitt (www.sarahbrummitt.com). The reason? I was attending the annual AICI (Association of Image Consultants International) conference and as you can see it was all hard work with no fun whatsoever! This year I was presenting two sessions, one of which was entitled Grown Up Style – how to dress the 50 plus woman. Apart from calling on my own experiences in this area with Feel Fab at 50, I also drew on the inspirational blog from Ari Seth Cohen ‘Advanced Style’ which, simply put, is absolutely amazing.
I am now pleased to report that he has published the photographs from his blog in a book of the same name. It has literally just landed on my doormat and, as expected, it is wonderful.
So, if you:
1. are in a style rut
2. think you’re too old for fashion
3. have forgotten how to be creative
4. are never in love with how you look
5. don’t realise that being unique is a gift
BUY THE BOOK. It will totally blow you away. And remember, these women are MUCH older than us. Check out the 100 year olds, of which there are more then one, and then tell me you are past it!
Here is a clip from You Tube to get you in the mood:
