“Sue has a passion for fashion and style and is one of the most qualified consultants working in the image industry.”
“She is quirky, fun, empathetic, daring, open to new ideas and the concept of change. She has a holistic approach that often challenges the norm, so is very innovative and individualistic in the way she works with people. She has the ability to make fashion, image and personal branding, exciting, fun and inspirational. Her ability to make authentic style achievable in a way that is totally relevant, meaningful and practical for each individual is one of her strengths. She is sensitive and caring with a creative style of her own which sets her free from the crowd, making her very popular with clients and colleagues within her own industry.”
“Don’t be fooled though. She is also highly knowledgeable with an attention to detail and extremely high standards, which enabled her to become the first consultant to attain professional qualifications recognised both here and abroad. Her communication style is very engaging so she is a sought after presenter and facilitator, a published author, a trainer of image professionals and a regular contributor in the media.”
“Sue really does walk the talk and is a true expert in her field – she’s also very nice!”
Professional
I was the first Fashion Feng Shui practitioner in the UK and one of only three image professionals fully qualified on both side of the Atlantic (AICI). I’m also a Past President of Federation of Image Consultants International (FIPI), a founding member of Association of Stylists and Image Professionals (ASIP) a qualified life coach and trainer (CIPD)
I read Theology at university but left to work for Thomas Cook, where I spent the next 21 years
At 38, I was a couch potato. At 40, I was a qualified Fitness Trainer. It was a self set challenge to see if I could achieve something that was way out of my comfort zone. Yoga is my exercise of choice but I still find it a challenge and would prefer to read about it rather than actually practice
When I was a child, I used to spend my time dressing Sindy and Barbie and writing stories. Funny how life turns out, as I am now the Style Guru for ESP magazine (www.espmag.co.uk)
Apart from shopping, my favourite pastime is reading and I would work in a library if they allowed you to talk. I also love Test Match Cricket, especially if England win
Personal
I was widowed at 28 and I married again at 45. I have 2 step children and 3 nieces
I love vegetables and a meal without them is sadly lacking
I sing Tenor (with the men) in Peterborough Choral Society – and I used to play the trombone
Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holliday and Cleo Laine are my favourite singers. I have also seen Barbra Streisand perform live twice
My childhood heroine was Lady Penelope from Thunderbirds. I have a model of FAB1 on my desk and am looking for my own personal Parker – the pink Rolls Royce would make a nice extra!
