On behalf of the Association of Image Consultants International, I would like to thank you for speaking at the 2013 Annual Conference in Arizona. Your partnership with AICI helped to create one of our most successful conferences yet! Image professionals from around the world gathered to network, learn from industry experts (like yourself) and expand their professional horizons. AICI is committed to lifelong learning and professional development and you have played an integral role in helping us fulfil our mission. Brian Lipstein AICI FLC VP Co-Conference and Jennifer Howard AICI FLC VP Co-Conference
Just wanted to thank you for the Pretty as a Picture sessions to date as your enthusiasm is so infectious it’s encouraging me to take my wardrobe to task. The leather jacket is being culled (with my husband’s full approval) together with many other items which hang like ghosts in my wardrobe, never having seen the light of day for so long.
I’m really looking forward to the next session and I’m sure I’ll miss them when they finish, although I intend to purchase your Feel Fab at 50 book to keep me on track, even though 50 seems a long time ago. Cathy
I wanted to thank you on behalf of The New Zealand Federation of Image Professionals for your recent workshop with us.
Our group of 20 Image Professionals ranged from the not yet trained to the over 20 years in the business and everything in-between. The feedback for yourself was outstanding, everybody took away new knowledge of new ways to work in our industry and powerful incites into themselves. I understand at least one of the ladies is planning to see you in the UK for further personal development.
I myself put some of your ideas straight into practice in my consultants style training workshop two days later, so thank you.
I would also comment that along with your extensive knowledge, your easy communication style and endless willingness to share greatly added to our day.
Thank you, once more. Jill Wilkinson – Director CMB NZ
Thank you for your generous sharing. Thoroughly enjoyed your sessions. Love them to bits! You are such an inspiration, Sue!
Till we meet again, stay funky! Catherine Chan Iconiq Image
Sue is very inspiring; embracing her own style and personality with such ease and confidence and at different stages of her life! She catered her sessions to our local consultants and it’s a joy learning from her in a non-stressful environment she has created in class. She gave us a lot of freedom to learn and discover about ourselves and applying it to dressing! Thank you Sue for taking time to impact other consultants in this part of the world! I have just realised that nearly a whole month has flown by since we met at the Blue Mountains Retreat you hosted for the AICI Sydney Chapter; and that I have been remiss in not sending this message to you sooner. A toddler and baby will do that to you!
I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your workshops and your company over the weekend. The session content coupled with your style of delivery was so engaging, and ensured that everyone had a great time exploring and learning themselves and others; but also future possibilities for their clientele and business direction. I particularly enjoyed the activities that were designed to uncover our personal values and personality which underpin some of our unique style considerations. I learned so much to apply both personally and professionally in my current career, but also moving ahead in another direction encompassing the image industry. Your reputation among our colleagues preceded you and your website sealed the deal; so I came to the retreat. You did not disappoint one bit! Thank you so much for agreeing to come to Australia and facilitate this workshop for us.
I sincerely hope that you had a wonderful time while you were in Australia and that you will return again in future. Claire Bigelow, Associate Member of AICI, Sydney Australia
Thank you so very much for such a wonderful day yesterday! I haven’t stopped thinking about all the things we covered, and ways I can incorporate them into my life and with clients.
In recent months (must be significant birthday syndrome) I have been really evaluating all areas of my life, and wanting to be more true to my values and ‘authentic’. It started with a huge wardrobe cull, trying some new looks, and which was then followed by a ‘whole apartment’ cull, with no draw or cupboard exempt! Am also currently negotiating my way out of my now 3 day role in the corporate world after 20 years to focus on Styling full-time, which is also part of that not working or feeling right anymore either.
So, your visit couldn’t have been better timed for me, and I really hope you enjoy the rest of your time here in Australia and New Zealand.
Hope to see you again in May at the Conference,
Warm regards, BF
Thanks for a great weekend. The Carrington Hotel in Katoomba was certainly buzzing over the weekend for our retreat.
The intimate atmosphere oozed moody ambience to allow us to enjoy scintillating conversation with our image buddies.
The highlight of the weekend was fabulous you being both engaging and entertaining. You are a delight with a vast knowledge of the art of authentic style. Your strategies will allow our clients to look at themselves in a different light. Robin Powis, Personal Branding Specialist and Image Consultant
Sue Donnelly is quickly becoming the go-to expert for image professionals. Her Creative Dressing course is the gold standard for helping image consultants to learn to break the rules that’ve been drummed into us. Not all the rules of course. Just the ones that block us (and our clients) from true sartorial expression. If you’re an image professional, and haven’t taken Creative Dressing yet, you’re less of an expert than you could be. Dr. Mandy Lehto, Image Consultant and Executive Coach
Thankyou Sue for yet again for another truly inspirational workshop (Putting The ‘I’ into Image). The activities you used to demonstrate how to call on our imagination and intuition when styling our clients were very resourceful and thought provoking. Your workshop did what you said it would do – get you to think creatively by digging a bit deeper in client consultations’. Sue you are great at what you do! Diane Miller – Image Professional
Dear Sue, I’m grateful for the wonderful session you presented us. I’m so impressed that your session actually made me encountered with “unknown myself”. I’m sure this didn’t happen only to me but everybody joined your session experienced multiple number of enlightenments. It was absolutely eye-opening experience to all of us, I believe you could see we were totally thrilled! The method we learned during your session is truly influential not only to us but also to the clients each participant has. And certainly, we always remember to have feeling of playfulness within ourselves. I’m so happy if you enjoyed your stay with us in Tokyo.
Thank you indeed for everything, Sue. Warm regards, Hitomi. Hitomi K.Ohmori, AICI CIM
Style for Your Soul – For me this day was immensely thought provoking. I shall be pondering and working on this over the days and weeks to come, trying to move myself from feeling like an ugly ‘has been’ who would be better off being invisible to being a strong powerful woman, who is wise and wonderful and cares about how she looks.
To a degree the session could come with a gentle health warning because it reaches the parts other image sessions don’t reach. It has moved my view that clothes are just to keep you warm or stop you having to walk round naked, to thinking of the message I give out to people by my clothes and what I want that message to be.
Sue is sensitive and insightful. She lifted my energy and inspired me to ‘just do it’.
Just off to delve into my wardrobe and give it a bit of a shake up!
THANK YOU SUE Carole H – management consultant
… and gorgeous Sue, a woman after my own heart. Live life for what is real for you, is the message I got. And don’t be confined by convention, be real and wear it well and with panache. As with life be true to yourself was the message behind the message. And what are your clothes saying about you and most importantly what message are you giving to the world. Very NLP. Such passion and delivered with such a want for us all to get the very best and to relate her subject to the message of the day. I loved the session with Sue she was inspirational. Gravitas workshop
What I enjoy most about Sue’s workshops is that they make learning fun, and Wardrobe Magic was no exception – it did just that. Sue always creates an atmosphere that is very open and generous, and being in a small and intimate group means you learn from everyone else too. This time, for instance, I was delighted to leave knowing how to turn a much loved ‘evening’ top into terrific daywear and with a fantastic tip on how to make my own leggings from tights! The backbone to this workshop is a novel and inspiring way to organise your wardrobe, which I absolutely loved. Practical, fun, inspiring and easy… This workshop was another ‘hit’ with me! Sue Clarke – Career Coach www.inthehotseat.co.uk
As an fellow image consultant , I just wanted to tell you that you really make my day when I hear from you. It’s people like you who GIVE that inspire everyone else in our industry to raise their professional level. By promoting the standard and level of education available and sharing your experiences, it makes everyone involved better informed and I firmly believe that is what it should be about. Thank you also for preparing to train via webinar, gaining accreditation via AICI. It certainly would make life so much easier for everyone without the labour of travel. I love your innovative thoughts. What a great strength to have. Its great you are taking the feedback on from your audience and acting on it. It’s nice to hear encouragement and positive feedback. I’m sure you’ll get plenty of it. Im signing up for your newsletters and postings right now….YAY!!! Thank you for the privilege. Cannot wait to see you again – in Sydney sooner rather than later!!! Lisa Barreto Tilman – Image Consultant, Sydney
You have a fabulous natural facilitative style and a collaborative, warm, nurturing approach combined with a glorious sense of humour – used particularly well to gently challenge. Sarah – Executive Coach
I could have spent all weekend with you and the other participants. It was great fun trying everything on, swapping ideas and sharing knowledge and experience. Like a lot of consultants, once you are away from the initial core training you don’t get to spend so much time with consultants exploring different techniques, ideas and methods for working. ” Jacky – Image Consultant
Sue’s knowledge and experience shine through in everything she does. She is incredibly inspirational and a great role-model for her own business. The workshop I attended ‘The Art of Style’ was informative, thought-provoking and fun. It has made me really evaluate why I wear, what I wear and given me some powerful lessons in how to adapt to become ‘the best me I can be’. I’d recommend Sue’s workshops and services to anyone who really wants to make a positive change and think about style in a completely different way. Jo – Leadership Coach
Thanks for another terrific workshop, very enjoyable and lots of laughter throughout the day. I love my new style statement and I smile every time I think of it and its meaning to me. Putting my two workshops together has made my shopping much more enjoyable and filled me with new enthusiasm. Thanks for your guidance, love, openness and for all the energy you put into your workshops. Sue – PA
What a fun day yesterday was! Like turning back the clock and being a little girl playing at dressing ups, believing I could be anyone I wanted to be! Thank you so much for the opportunity What I want to say right now is how much I love your workshop style. You created something that was intimate, safe, supportive, empowering, personal and fun. That’s not bad for a day’s work! Jane – Head of Communications and Author
Sue has a great deal of integrity, is sincere and honest while managing to always be diplomatic and sensitive. I would trust whatever she said to me, without hesitation. Sue has the ability to read people, so when giving advice/suggestions she always pitches it at the right level, in the right words to get the point across. I have felt confident in making changes within myself after talking to her and not once has it ever crossed my mind that her advice may not be right for me. There are so many examples in my life that have come about because of Sue’s positive, creative influence. Sue ‘practices what she preaches’. She has a great ability to find the fun in life and help others to appreciate that side of life more. She’s a very nice person to know. Karen –NHS Manager
Sue is a bright shining star! She is passionate about both fashion and people with an amazing ability to focus in on what needs to be done. Sue is fun to be with, loyal, responsible, fair and trustworthy and an image leader in every sense of the word. Evana – Creator Fashion Feng Shui
The first thing that pops into my mind is how Sue easily identifies ‘where people are at’ with their style and gently nurtures them towards something a bit outside their comfort zone/boundaries. This seems to open doors in the mind and, once opened, things really start shifting. She understands that the behaviour of how people dress/see themselves is linked to a deeper layer at the unconscious. Nina – Therapist and Practitioner
You give and demonstrate a great template of how to ‘play’ with clothes. Something we all need in this very stressful world when time is of the essence – Carol – Investment Banker.
I found my session with Sue to be incredibly creative experience. She helped me see how I could use my clothes to best advantage, how I could combine colours and the shapes which fit me in new ways that I had never considered. I got a whole new wardrobe without buying a stitch of new clothing! It was well worth the financial investment. I started experimenting much more and also became more bold about what I wore to work. I became a better shopper – better at finding the right shapes and colours, so no more costly mistakes. Christine – International Banker.
A very insightful day’s workshop. The small number of students made for excellent individual attention and when Sue cast her magic on each of us in turn, the transformations were amazing! It was so nice to be on a course which focussed on positive feedback, I think we all left feeling much more confident in our ability to shop for clothes. Thank you. Stephanie – MD
